Is ectolife real?

In fact, that’s exactly what it is — and, as far as I can tell, there is no EctoLife at all. It’s not real. There are no artificial wombs. It’s all just a concept. This concept was put forth by Hashem Al-Ghaili, originally from Yemen, who calls himself a “science communicator” on his website.

Is ectolife based on a true story?

The EctoLife concept for growing a baby outside of a human womb, in an artificial womb, claims to be based on “ over 50 years of groundbreaking scientific research ”, but he provides no sources or citations. As far as I’ve been able to tell, it’s just science fiction. If anyone can find a list of sources, please link it to me!

Should ectolife be ethical?

There’s also ethics to consider, because this technology will only be developed if there’s a need and a desire for it. The EctoLife concept video talks about offering an “elite package” where babies will be genome edited to alter their hair colour, skin tone, physical strength, height and level of intelligence.
